Does your wedding gown complement your wedding season?
September 26, 2016
Your wedding season will influence everything about your Big Day – from your guests’ availability, to the weather outside and to the décor you choose to incorporate into this special event in your life. Of course, your wedding gown is not even by far the least important of the “seasonal complements” you have to keep in mind – but how do you do that? How do you choose a dress that perfectly fits into your wedding season?
Here are some tips to consider:
For a fall wedding, opt for a dress that’s rich in detail work. For example, a gown with intricate leaf-inspired embroidery will be more than suitable for the season outside. Also, a cream or champagne color will be more than great too.
For a winter wedding, remember to put your comfort first. Long-sleeved gowns, thicker bodices and, in general, thicker fabrics – these are just a few of the things to take into consideration. Also, if you want to have a Winter Wonderland wedding, remember that opulence should be the keyword both when it comes to the décor and when it comes to the dress – so a beautiful design with silver touches will be absolutely amazing!
For a spring wedding, take inspiration from the rejuvenation of nature and bring this into your wedding dress. A flowery pattern is an unconventional way of welcoming spring on your wedding day, but if you want to stay traditional, you can always opt for an A-line, flowing design that flatters your body and your energized spirit.
For a summer wedding, you can always opt for a shorter, medium-length or, why not, a cascade-length dress. Also, keep things simple and lightweight with the fabric too, alternating between veil and lace (or similarly thin fabrics).
