Top do’s and don’ts for your wedding makeup

Your wedding makeup should be carefully planned. After all, like most of the brides out there, you want to look flawless on your big day – and planning everything about your makeup and hairstyle is really important.

What are some of the top do’s and don’ts of wedding makeup planning? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

DO’s:

  • Plan your makeup trial with about 3 weeks before the big day, but no longer than 5 weeks away from the wedding. This will allow you to choose the best type of makeup in due time.

  • Bring ideas for your makeup artist. If you want you and your makeup artists to be on the same page, bring as many pictures as you can. This way, she will understand what you are looking for (and think of ways to pull it off in a truly beautiful way for you).

DON’Ts:

  • Don’t allow your makeup artist to change your mind completely. Unless it’s something reasonable and you find it a good idea, it is not absolutely mandatory that you listen to your makeup artist’s tips. This is a time for you to shine and allow your personality to reflect in your wedding look - so you should still have a say in it.

  • Don’t settle on anything that’s just too trendy. Remember, you will be looking at your wedding pictures decades from now and that blue lipstick may not feel like a great idea when you’re a grandmother showing off her wedding photos…
